Frequently Asked Questions

What is a life stage?
A method of grouping persons in a similar life situation based on age and average age of children. There is no right or wrong answer! Choose the stage you consider your peer group.

What is a small group and how is it formed?
As WCBS has continued to grow, with an annual registration of over 500 women, it has become necessary to update our method of small group placement. Groups are put together using an array of information. Bible study experience, Age, Life Stage, and past croup leaders are the major categories the small group committee considers. Groups are intended to be a mixture of ALL age groups, Bible knowledge, new friends and old.

What time does the WCBS Start?
Our meetings are every Wednesday morning (September - April) from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. The first hour is in the sanctuary: praise and worship followed by a teaching lesson. In the second hour, small groups meet in classrooms for discussion and prayer led by individual facilitators.

Where does the Wednesday morning WCBS meet?
Peachtree Presbyterian Church Sanctuary, 3434 Roswell Road, Atlanta, GA 30305

How much does the nursery service cost and who should I contact about a reservation?
The rates for the nursery are $6 for the first child, $4 for additional children. These rates are for 9:30-11:30 AM. If you plan to attend a luncheon, there is no additional fee but children must be picked up by 12:30 PM. Ms. Evelyn is in charge of the nursery and she can be reached at 404-842-5839. For additional questions or information contact Annie Drexler pinesand@comcast.net or 404-606-0072.

Does WCBS focus on a specific church or denomination?
WCBS is a Women’s interdenominational Bible study. Our members are women of all different ages and from many different churches in the greater Atlanta area. WCBS is ecumenical, meaning we focus on the essentials of the Christian faith rather that any individual church’s or denomination’s doctrine.
