Mission Statement

Who We Are

We are a women's interdenominational Bible study which meets at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Our members are women of all different ages and from many different churches in the greater Atlanta area. Our meetings are every Wednesday morning (September through April) from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. The first hour is in the sanctuary: praise and worship followed by a teaching lesson. In the second hour, small groups meet in classrooms for discussion and prayer led by individual facilitators. WCBS is ecumenical meaning…

Praise and Worship

Paula Smith - Worship Leader

Sometimes it takes having to sit down and specifically write about something before you realize what kind of impact it has had on your life. Years ago, on Christmas Eve, I met the leader of a women’s Bible study while we were ministering in our own ways to the women at a local shelter. She invited me to sing at her Bible study, held at a large Presbyterian church. Although I originally attended only a few times a year, our relationship grew because of our love for the Father and one another.

The Service of the Saintly

... Anna ... never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Luke 2:36-37

Praising God

Susan E. Kyle

I will thank you Lord, in front of all the people. I will sing praises among the nations. Psalm 108:3

I am a vessel of God. Through my times of hurt and sorrow, He has filled me with peace, compassion, and the strength to endure. I am indebted to Him: “In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and rescued me” (Psalm 118:5). As I submit to God, I am willing to give back all that I possibly can in gratitude for all God had given me.
